Taxes are killing me.. - 2/6/2009
Salisbury Mills is a small town within Blooming Grove New York and borders New Windsor. As it is part of Blooming Grove, it is subject to BG's school district. However, we have our own post office and Fire and Ambulance corp.

Since we are part of Blooming Grove, our taxes are sky high. I live in a 4000 sq ft house on a private road with no sidewalks, no police patrols, no street lights, no snow plowing; only garbage pickup and I pay $20,000.00 per year in Property and School taxes! My Escrow payment for taxes and insurance each month is almost the same as my mortgage payment. This is outrageous and grounds for packing up and moving the hell out of Read More
